Communications Officer (UAE National)

Job description / Role

To support the Group Strategy and Corporate Development Director in the development of policies, processes, platforms and content regarding internal and external communications at a Group level as well as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities across the Group

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To monitor and log all media mentions of the Group, Group companies and family members
2. To ensure Group is aware of all press releases, media interviews, speeches and events participated in by all Group-related companies
3. To ensure that Group website and Intraweb portal is updated and refreshed with new content, monitor traffic to the website and to suggest other improvements
4. To help to expand the Groups online presence through the use of some or all of Wikipedia, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc.
5. To log all Group-wide CSR activities, ensure adequate communication is being carried out internally and externally, suggest improvements
6. To propose other CSR-related events or activities for the Group to participate in, sponsor, lead etc.
7. Any other tasks as directed by line manager.

Requirements

- Excellent communications skills in English and Arabic, both written and spoken
- High degree of attention to detail and pride in accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with comprehensive record keeping and archiving
- Strong time management skills and ability to deliver to tight deadlines if required
- Ability to work independently and to propose own solutions to overcome challenges
- Ability to work with a wide variety of nationalities and backgrounds and to interact with senior executives
- At least a Bachelor degree in communications and/or two years experience in corporate communications, public relations or the media.
