Employment: Full Time

Our client is within the Aviation industry who are currently seeking an experienced Events Planner/ Manager to join the Marketing team. The role with involve will planning, managing and executing internal and external events. In this role, the Event Events Planner / Manager will be responsible for event strategy, project management and execution of trade shows, conferences, meetings and customer engagements, working cross functionally with internal stakeholders such as products, sales, and external agencies, such as exhibit and logistics vendors, venues and tradeshow organizers. This position reports to the Head of Marketing.

- Execute on event strategy, tactical plans and project manage from beginning to end including all logistics
- Manage budgets, forecast and compile reporting metrics for each specific project
- Research, select, negotiate and manage vendors and services
- Guide and ensure consistency of corporate message throughout each specific project
- Lead, manage, supervise and provide direction to contractors and vendors for the duration of each specific project
- Prepare shipments for on-time and accurate delivery
- Help develop campaigns that promote event attendance and/or sponsorship

Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of corporate event management experience
- Proven experience in event strategy and executing complex events and programs
- A team player with a can do positive approach who can think outside the box and problem solve often in difficult situations
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with quick deadlines
- Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and all levels of management.
