Employment: Full Time

On behalf of our client, a major multinational operator group, we are currently searching for a Head of Consumer Business Unit (Mobile). This is an extremely rare opportunity as due to an internal mobility programme, the selected person must also be a high potential candidate for progression to a CCO assignment of a USD$1.7bn revenue operation within 18 months.

Requirements

The selected candidate will hold responsibility for the following; All commercial activities in the Consumer Unit including pricing, product development and management, segmentation, handsets, customer centricity and engagement. Some marketing areas which include branding and comms may be part of this remit but the main focus is on the core commercial aspects of a mobile business. Our client is a challenger operator whose key objectives in 2015 will be increasing both market and revenue share through innovation, speed and disruption. Execution of the Board and CEOs strategic direction holds considerable autonomy of decision making for the Head of the Consumer Business Unit.

Vital considerations in selection (only those who match these requirements can be considered)

- Operational experience from a challenger Mobile operator
- A strong focus and expertise in the B2C segment of a Mobile Operators
- Innovative achievements which have made a real impact on the businesses top and bottom line
- International mobile telecoms experience (candidates who do not have emerging market experience cannot be considered)
- Clear disruptive initiatives within their respective market/s
- Leadership of different commercial functions
- Leadership of multicultural teams
- Stability of tenure
- Excellent references
- Candidates must be able to clearly demonstrate how they have directly contributed to commercial growth (outperforming the market)
- Candidates who have successfully operated in highly competitive markets (minimum of three to four players) will only be considered. Those from two player mobile markets cannot be considered for selection
