Retail Director

Job description / Role

Salary: AED 55,000 - 65,000 plus Bonus and Benefits (Per Month)

A large, well known international luxury retail brand is currently searching for a General Manager / Retail Director to run their Operations across the GCC. Based in Dubai, you will be responsible for the operational and commercial success of the brands 40+ Boutiques, strategic growth plans, and development of your management team. Additionally, you will also be responsible for:
- Taking full commercial accountability and maintaining a critical focus on leading, coaching and developing your retail teams.
- Combining keen attention to detail with a broader commercial vision, you will decide how best to implement the brands retail strategy, whilst taking full accountability for gross sales, P&L, staff development, inventory and merchandising.
- Work closely with the Buying teams, stakeholders, GMM, HR Business Partner and Brand Directors to create strategies that increase footfall and to forecast future staffing requirements to secure talent within your team.
- Ensure sales team are fully immersed in the brand vision and values and trained across all product categories to ensure each customer is fully engaged with the brand.
- Effectively Manage all Area Managers to maximise sales and profitability in line with Company objectives.
- Ensure all Managers monitor and manage sales and customer service activities to ensure staff competence in these areas to optimise and sustain sales performance, profitability and offering a luxury customer service experience.
- Monitor KPIs and maintain mystery shopping results of a minimum of 85% for all stores in region.
- Opening new Boutiques across the GCC.
- Assist with the negotiations on lease agreements and contracts as required.
- Plan, forecast, report on sales, costs and business performance according to company requirements for all stores in region.
- Manage costs and overheads on all factors affecting the profitable performance of the all stores / concessions in region.
- Set and maintain the standard of Visual Merchandising (VM) in line with VM guidelines across region.
- Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy.
- Ensure compliance across stores with internal and external authorities Marketing, HR, Recruitment, Retail operations, Fire Services, Police, BAA etc.

Requirements

- You must have previous experience as a Retail Director covering multiple retail stores.
- The ideal person is an inspiring and energetic Director who enjoys being in an environment where you can really alter the business and make an impact.
- You will be a passionate and natural retailer, someone who leads their teams to success through excellent operation expertise and the ability to drive KPIs and top performance.
