Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Accountant has significant accounting and reporting responsibilities including expense verification and planning and supports other finance team members when necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibility of the expense claim management.
a.Review the monthly expense claim for compliance to FX rates
b.Verify the expense claim to ensure all supporting documents are in order
c.Ensure the expenses are in line with the internal approval matrix
d.Ensure compliance to international accounting standard and group controlling guidelines.
a.Ensure the authorization rights, signing limits, master data updates are maintained on regular basis.
b.Collect, consolidate and process error free monthly Marketing Expense Recharges by ensuring data consistency in SAP
c.Work closely with the Regional finance team for processing any accounting general journals (adjustments) necessary on a monthly basis.
d.Improve the reporting efficiency

Fixed Assets Management:
a.Reconcile the fixed assets to accounting records on a yearly basis
b.Ensure necessary supporting documents are in place for scrap/disposal of assets in the markets.

Planning
a.Preparation of the planning files for all markets during all revised estimates and business planning process.
b.Uploads the planning files into the required planning systems (BI & Hyperion)
c.Supports Regional Finance Managers with administrative tasks during the planning exercise
d.Manage master data maintenance in SAP for new internal orders in line with planning files.

Requirements

- Bachelors degree in commerce or accountancy, ideally part qualified
- 2-3 years experience in core accounting function ideally in a FMCG distribution business
- 1 year working experience in SAP R/3 Finance module or similar ERP systems
- Must be capable to do the bookkeeping to the trial balance without assistance
- The ability to communicate solutions to the management and colleagues
- Good knowledge of MS word and Power point and MS-Excel at an advanced level
- Hyperion and SAP BI working knowledge would be an advantage
