Job description / Role
Our client is seeking a Technical Operations Underwriting Manager to join their esteemed firm.
The individual will be responsible for developing strategies and plans; implementing them to establish management of revenues generated from Takaful business. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for developing and implementing plans & standards for business risk underwriting and claims evaluation.
The role will involve maintaining close liaison with reinsurers for underwriting higher value risks and underwriting guidelines and standards to be followed.
Requirements
- Graduate or Post Graduate Degree In Business Administration/Finance/Economics/Mathematics
- Professional qualification (Insurance, other)
- Extensive conventional and Islamic Insurance industry experience (Minimum 15 years,10 years + as head of the department of relevant field of general insurance), Minimum 3 years in UAE
- Experience in drafting/amending policy wordings and technical specifications
- Extensive knowledge of the industry
- Knowledge of underlying insurance concepts
- Knowledge of Takaful concepts and models
