Job description / Role
Our client is seeking a Medical Operations Underwriting Manager to join their organisation.
The individual will be responsible for developing short and long term strategies / plans for the Medical Underwriting Division; in addition to developing and implementing procedures & standards for Medical Underwriting and Claims Management.
He/She will be maintaining close liaison with Reinsurers and Local Companies for Underwriting and sharing higher value risks.
Requirements
- University Graduate or Post Graduate Degree preferably in management/finance/economics/mathematics.
- Professional qualification (Insurance, other).
- Extensive conventional and Islamic Insurance industry experience (Minimum 15 years , 10 years as head of the department).
- Experience in drafting/amending policy wordings and technical specifications.
- Extensive knowledge of the industry.
- Knowledge of underlying insurance concepts.
- Knowledge of Takaful concepts and models.
