Risk Manager - Rail - Saudi Arabia

An international consultancy company is currently conducting a search for a Risk Manager who has vast experience working on Rail Projects. The position is based in Saudi Arabia and will be assisting the Program Team of large multimillion dollar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The objective of Risk Management is to assist the Program Team in the successful achievement of the Program objectives by:
- Comprehensively identifying Risks that might impact on the achievement of the Program Objectives
- Accurately assessing the potential impacts of the identified Risks
- Prioritizing the requirements for Risk response identification
- Formulating appropriate responses to the identified Risks
- Quantifying adequate cost and time provisions for post-response residual Risk impacts
- Controlling the implementation of identified Risk responses
- Monitoring changes in Risk exposure, identifying new Risks and modifying responses

The Risk Manager will also be responsible for producing the following deliverables during the first 3 months of the project:
- Risk Management Strategy, Plan and Procedure for the Program
- Risk Maturity Assessment
- Key Stakeholder Identification and Coordination
- Risk Workshop Facilitation
- Risk Qualification and Quantification (Monte Carlo Simulation as needed)
- Risk Register
- Risk Breakdown Structure
- Risk technology/system recommendation, implementation and configuration to support the plan and procedure
- Establishing Risk Management cadence including recurring meetings and reporting
- Program Team training

Requirements

Essential
- Degree in engineering, business, finance discipline (or related field)
- High degree of technical proficiency in implementing risk management strategy, plans and procedures on major construction projects
- Ability to effectively identify, analyses and recommend risk mitigation actions
- Experience of managing others & taking the lead on a project of reasonable size or a number of smaller project
- Minimum 15 years experience in the engineering field

Desirable
- Experience on a complex rail system highly preferred
- Middle East experience preferable
- Chartered status
