Project Manager / Team Lead (Luxury) - Dubai, UAE
Our client is a marketing-leading interior design com was formed in 1989 in London first, with offices shortly after opening in Dubai and eventually Hong Kong in 2008.
There work requires a stretch of the imagination to suit clientele from the 4 corners of the earth who require a variety of interiors ranging from royal palaces to fancy lofts and penthouses, urban hotels to beach and mountainous retreats, and metros to super yachts.
Periodically it will be necessary to give the temporary title of Team Leader to certain selected designers. This title confers on the designer involved the responsibility of understanding all that there is to know about the particular project, or where more than one Team Leader is appointed to a project, the part of the project that has been separately identified.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- General maintenance of the project files, to include hard copies of any e-mail correspondence as well as other documents sent or received, all in chronological order and categorized as appropriate.
- Soft copies of all important e-mails to also be filed on the server using same folder structure as hard copies.
- Day to day correspondence with other consultants.
- Allocating project tasks to other team members as appropriate or as instructed by the Directors.
- Monitoring other team members and advising the Director of progress.
- After the initial KCA programme of deliverables has been issued and agreed micro-manage staff(as appropriate) to ensure target deadlines are achieved. Prepare mini programmes / prioritized task list as necessary to assist staff in achieving deadlines.
- Advising Directors of anticipated problems in meeting deadlines at the earliest opportunity, and approximately estimating the extra hours needed to be made up either in overtime or additional temporary staff to overcome the problem.
- Taking design direction from senior management and ensuring that this is faithfully interpreted by all members of the team. Ensuring that work in progress by the team is shown to senior management regularly to ensure that it is in line with the original design intent.
- Booking visualizers when required well in advance and coordinating the visualizers brief.
- Ensuring that visuals are returned in plenty of time, checked, shown to senior management for approval and photographed before being issued.
- Co-coordinating the timing of photographing all presentation work with the relevant staff member.
- Ensuring that an office set of all deliverables kept for future reference.
Requirements
- BSc (preferred)
- Worked for a large interiors company
- Minimum of 10 years experience
- Must be in the GCC or have experience of UAE projects
- Available within 1 month
- Hospitality experience
TAX FREE lump sum monthly salary package - Up to AED 37-40,000 per month + medical + bonus
