Trade Finance Centre Manager, Banking, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Salary TBC Benefits will Include Housing Allowance, Transport Allowance, Bonus, Medical etc.

My client based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia are looking to recruit a Trade Finance Manager to lead and manage the Trade Finance back-office operations in order to ensure quality, speedy driven and efficient operations.

Role Purpose:

Key Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the development of divisional strategy and ensures translation and alignment during the development and monitoring of departmental strategy including objectives, targets and initiatives
- Recommends improvements to departmental policy and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of the Trade Finance Centres activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers
- Prepares and recommends the Trade Finance Centres department budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed
- Monitors the financial performance of the Trade Finance Centres department against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Trade Finance Centres department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures
- Ensures that related strategic plans are developed and implemented, which are aligned with the vision and mission of the Bank
- Oversees the processing of all Trade Finance operations (e.g., Letters of Credit, Letters of Guarantee) ensuring that the processing activities are conducted according to policies, procedures
- Continuously works towards improving processing cycle times in order to ensure a speedy service in line with delivery turn out times
- Continuously works on improving the quality of service to ensure adequate controls are in place through a streamlined structure
- Ensures smooth coordination and relationship building with other relevant departments/functions in order to maximize on efficiency
- Stimulates subordinates and contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account international best practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
- Assesses the impact of introduced changes to people, process and systems and develops relevant communication and awareness initiatives to support the effective implementation of change
- Supervises the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards
- Represents the function and actively contributes in various committees/meetings (internal and external) as applicable and per authority levels in order to ensure relevant matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensures all staff have clear objectives, regular performance feedback sessions, formal annual appraisals, and individual development plans, with particular emphasis on the development of talented Saudi national staff
- Ensures and facilitates the employment, training and development of Saudi nationals within the organization
- Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude
- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed

Requirements

- Knowledge of the Corporate Banking products and services
- Understanding of the Banking processes and back office support
- knowledge of Back-office operations management
- Ability in business development and planning
- Knowledge of the Trade Finance products
- Bachelor's degree in Business with preferably a specialization in Finance or Accounting.
- Post-graduate qualification from an internationally recognized business school is preferred.
- 6-8 years relevant experience in banking including at least 3 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
- English: Advanced
