Job description / Role
- The Infrastructure Project Manager will plan, coordinate, and execute the activities of multiple infrastructure and operations projects while delivering on-time, within budget, and meeting customer expectations.
- The Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for delivering projects on three fronts:
- Virtualization platforms: Modernizing the corporate Datacenter.
- Technology Refresh and upgrade.
- Infrastructure demand and readiness for all application projects.
- Run projects, prepare project plan and provide MIS reports to PMO office.
- Liaise with cross functional IT infrastructure team members.
- Manage & mitigate project issues and risks, project resources and team & project board and stakeholders.
- Ensure availability of resources, meeting of timelines and other project details.
- Ensure projects are aligned to and deliver against the Business objectives.
- Perform appropriate level of stakeholder management across IT and clients.
- Serve as highest project internal escalation level.
- Take appropriate actions if deadlines, quality or budget are significantly at risk.
- Build and develop a high performing project team in order to deliver project results as per the business case.
- Document IT processes as required by PMO standards.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in accordance with defined quality management practices to achieve common objectives.
- Ensure maintaining Data confidentiality.
- Lead team to design, implement, test and rollout a robust virtual infrastructure.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure compliance.
- Take ownership and ensure Quality Delivery; as per the scope.
Requirements
- Tools & techniques for IT Project Management.
- Experience Implementing: VMware environments.
- In depth understanding of IT Infrastructure Components:
- Windows OS
- VMware
- Cost and budget analysis.
- Team & Time Management .
- Leadership, Coaching & Mentorship.
- 7 years of experience in the IT field- Design & Development.
- 2 years of experience in Finance/ Banking Industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing technology moves and in rolling out VMware.
- Demonstrated experience in deploying virtual machines across an organization.
