Planner / Senior Planner - London (EU Candidate)

Our client is one of the largest and most revered building and civils contractors operating in the United Kingdom. They are incredibly busy in the London region at the moment.

They presently have need for experienced construction Planners & Senior Planners from within the EU to take responsibility for the scheduling and overall planning management of various sized projects in London (project values ranging from 5-200m). Your duties will include scheduling the project, monitoring manpower and ensuring that progress reports are maintained and appropriate delay notices are raised, all within the busy, inner city environment.

Duties will include:
- Being responsible for monitoring site works progress against Master Programme and report to Senior Management the progress status
- To check for value engineering of building construction project.
- To attend consultant meetings & site meetings.
- To oversee & monitor progress of construction project.
- To coordinate with other project staff to participate in project meetings.
- To review the performance of subcontractors and suppliers.
- To coordinate with relevant Government departments, utilities companies and their contractors to enable the smooth running and completion of the project.
- To make periodic reports and assessment of risk management.
- To establish handover procedures during completion of building.
- To report to direct superior regarding complaint from client and review for remedial actions be taken.
- To review and investigate for improvement opportunity with innovative mind.

Requirements

The successful applicant will have 10-15 years experience in the industry and will be degree qualified (building/engineering disciplines).

Candidates must have experience of taking building projects through to completion and be confident in the use of industry planning software such as Primavera, or Asta. Candidates must have an excellent command of both written and spoken English.
