Riyadh Metro Transit Consultant

The Archiver will be part of the document control team. They will manage and evaluate large amount of historical documents and archival materials, show project staff where to find the information they need and prepare reports and present them in a daily basis to the Document Control Manager.

The Archiver will be also responsible for physically collecting, delivering and arranging all the documents into archive boxes and moving them to the appropriate place within the site and contractor offices.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Developing classification systems and identification codes to facilitate access to archival documents
- Reading and scanning incoming materials in order to determine how and where they should be classified or filed
- Organising and preparing archive records such as document descriptions to allow for easy access to information
- Recording the origins and historical significance of archival materials and documents
- Recording document removed from files in order to ensure that borrowed files are returned
- Maintaining records of documents filed or removed, using logbooks or computers
- Maintaining the archive forms from the project filing systems
- Performing periodic inspections of materials or files in order to ensure correct placement and proper condition
- Archiving outdated document according to file maintenance guidelines
- Gathering document to be filed from the project teams
- Placing materials into storage containers according to classification and identification information
- Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports for the Document Control Manager
- Assisting in office duties such as operating photocopy machines, scanning and binding

Requirements

- Degree holder or diploma in professional qualification in technical subject area
- Minimum 3 years experience in document control, archiving or filing position
- Good organizational skills with accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness
- Ability to manage stress and meet high pressure deadlines with good time management skills.
- Strong archiving background
- Ability to work effectively as a team member with demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce
- Excellent data management skills
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills

Desirable
- Construction, Engineering or related industry experience
