Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This role is with a government entity in Abu Dhabi and will work closely with the HR Manager and the HR team to build employee and organisational excellence in the organisation by managing day-to-day HR operations, embedding HR strategy and providing professional HR guidance to support the achievement of business objectives and plans.

The main purpose is to execute HR generalist profile and also recruit, interview and screen candidates to fill existing and future job openings.

Recruitment & Organization
- Contribute to the business by assisting the company to identify, prioritize and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures and processes.
- Undertake the recruitment process as required.
- Develop and administer sourcing strategies for identifying and recruiting potential new hires.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial phone or in person interviews and recommend candidates for the next level of interviews.
- Maintain necessary files covering applications, interviews and testing procedures.
- Conduct the Pre-Employment Screening process, communicate status of selection process to applicants and extend employment offers.
- Liaise with hiring/line managers regarding all openings and candidate status and ensure all positions are posted internally and externally, as required.

Talent Development
- Advise employees on development opportunities and ensure that they are able to meet current and future performance standards.

General HR responsibilities and projects
- Conduct new employee orientation and exit interviews.
- Participate in developing HR departmental goals, objectives and systems and recommend improvements, when necessary.
- Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the HR department and services provided.
- Provide advice and coaching to employees when appropriate and required.
- Understand employees' opinions and anticipate their needs and concerns.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or Higher diploma in Human Resources or related field.
- 2 years experience in HR with a focus on talent acquisition and development.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen & interpersonal skills.
- Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between HR and business strategy.
- Possess knowledge of principles and procedures for employee recruitment, selection, training,
- compensations and benefits, employee relations and HR information systems.
- Ability to build solid relationships and foster trust.
- Ability to engage, motivate and influence people.
- Solid team player.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, risk and changing direction of projects and strategies.
- Ability to work in high pressure situations that require sound decision making and that involves.
- confidential or sensitive matters.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning and analytic skills.
- Ability to reach agreements and consensus despite differing goals and priorities.
- Capacity to understand problems and issues in the context of the bigger picture and understand relationships among different business units.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP HR experience would be advantageous.
