Major multi-disciplinary consultancy
Based in Kuwait

Our client is a major multi-disciplinary Architecture and Engineering consultancy with an excellent reputation throughout the Middle East and continued geographical expansion plans in the region due to several new project awards. A new opportunity has arisen for a Technical Specifications Writer to join its team in Kuwait.

Typical duties of the Technical Specifications Writer will include but are not limited to:
- Writes comprehensive functional specifications from requirements, documents and input from other domain and technical design sources.
- Insures accuracy, completeness, clarity and simplification of functional specifications.
- Creates well-defined, well-written and well-organized functional specifications.
- Conducts analytical review meetings as required with domain experts to acquire the details needed to write functional specifications.
- Writes comprehensive functional specifications from requirements, documents and input from other domain and technical design sources.
- Revises functional specifications as necessary throughout the design development.
- Conducts analytical review meetings as required with domain experts to acquire the details needed to write functional specifications.
- Provides report layouts, filters, groupings, subtotals and data mapping rules.
- Defines glossary of significant terms as a component part of the functional specification.
- Thorough knowledge in design and construction process.

Requirements

- A qualified Architect or Civil Engineer
- Have 4+ years of writing experience
- Able to read and interpret Architectural drawings
- Good command over written English language
- Well versed with MS Office, Photoshop and AutoCAD
