Employment: Full Time

A leading semi-governmental organization based in Abu Dhabi is looking to recruit experienced Production Manager. The desired candidates must have experience with manufacturing or printing industry. The candidate must also have at least 3 years of experience in a Managerial position.

The Production Senior Manager is responsible for all aspects of the secure printing production cycle. This position is also responsible for monitoring quality of the secure printing items, regularly liaising with other departments and interfacing with Junos customers.

The responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Strategy and Planning
- Develops the Production functions long term strategy and annual production improvement plans in collaboration with the Production & Engineering Director.
- Develops the Production functions annual budget plan and provides input to the overall annual budget.
- Implements strategic initiatives related to production to support achieving Junos strategic goals and objectives, and measure and reports on KPI's.

Operations
- Acts and behaves in a way that is compliant with company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environment, Health and Safety, ethics and codes of conduct.
- Manages secure printing production, processing, and distribution.
- Reviews production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, taking into consideration budgetary limitations and time constraints.
- Oversees the implementation of secure printing production items tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports in order to detect and anticipate production problems.
- Sets and monitors secure printing production standards, examining samples of raw material or directing testing during processing in order to ensure finished secure printing s are of prescribed quality.
- Prepares and maintains production reports and production personnel records.
- Reviews operations and confers with Quality Management and Engineering staff to resolve production problems.
- Initiates or coordinates inventory or cost control programs.
- Recommends procedures for facility or equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
- Actively supports continuous improvement activities within the whole of CPF in order to maintain the company's efficiency and competitiveness.
- Supports 5S and lean principles within the facility.

People Management
- Ensures appropriate workflow management between staff through appropriate delegation of work.
- Monitors the performance of team on an on-going basis, conducts performance reviews against agreed goals and ensures effective staff development.
- Identifies training and developmental priorities for the Production function to ensure that all employees possess the requisite skills and knowledge to successfully perform their roles and responsibilities.
- Coaches and mentors employees as appropriate to improve individual performance and to develop a motivated and high performance team.

Requirements

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering
- 10-12 years of experience in production/manufacturing environment, preferably in the printing industry or a related field, with at least three years in a managerial role
- Experience with world class manufacturing processes and methods such as lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Kanban, 5C, 5S, TPM and other advanced manufacturing methodologies, tools and concepts
- Proficient in English
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Knowledgeable of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of finished products
- Must have strong problem solving, organization, planning, leadership and analytical skills
- Must be capable of interacting and liaising with departments, customers and suppliers
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in MS Office
