Installation Engineer

Job description / Role

- Study and review of Tank Manufacturers design drawings , design calculations (as per thecodes ASME , NFPA 58,DOT,PED and ADR) and all required accessories such as Compressors, Hoses & Couplings, Flanges & Pressure Valves, Pressure Gauges etc.
- Site visits for inspection of tank location, witnessing tank tests and supervision on liquid gas transfer (loading/unloading ) from truck to tanks and tanks to trucks.
- Supervision on loading & unloading for all sizes of a/u ground & mounded tanks, Inspection for used tanks (all sizes), prepare plan for repair and reconditioning and supervision on modification.
- Investigate for all types of tanks accidents ( Roll Over, Cracks, Leaking, Fire etc.) and reporting the case of accidents reasons.
- Prepare & review specification for procurement of LPG tanks & LPG Bobtails, evaluation of technical proposals from international & local suppliers ensuring tanks & bobtails are in accordance with international standards & codes.

Requirements

- 5 years Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years Experience in LPG field and industrial installation of LPG Tanks, Piping and Fittings

Profound knowledge in Industrial LPG tank Installation.

Familiar with study & review of tank design drawings, design calculations.

Preferable to be familiar with tank manufacturing codes like ADR, ASME, NFPA 58, PED, DOT etc.

Preferable to be familiar with knowledge of cathodic protection system.

Preferable to be familiar with LPB bobtail manufacturing codes.

Training courses in LPG related field is preferable.
