Trader Manager (Physical Commodity Trader)

Job description / Role

- To take the responsibility in Trading Department for marketing, sales and purchase of dry bulk commodities, namely cement, clinker, coal and petcoke, servicing the cement industrys needs in Egypt
- Arranging the related domestic logistics in Egypt, including port operations as well as domestic delivery via trucks.
- Managing the relationships with the customers in Egypt, including offering and contract performance
- To establish and expand the sales of cement and related products within the region for HC Trading
- To Collect and Report market information
- Execution of sales and purchase contracts for dry bulk materials, witnessing loading & unloading operations
- Problem solving in logistics and transportation of goods, both domestic and international including handling the issues with port authorities in a smooth way
- To fulfill objectives of the company in relation to strategic decisions, profit maximization, market share
- To assist and conduct proper Documentation Procedures for import and export operations
- To follow up and give feedback regarding loading/ unloading operations and import/export status
- Co-ordination with other sales offices around the world
- To forecast for purchase volumes in order to make sound budgeting and planning for the designated trading area.
- To act as the admin manager of the office in Egypt

Requirements

- University degree, preferably in engineering, logistics, business management or a related field with graduation in top 20% of a reputable university
- Min 5 years of working experience in dry-bulk commodity import & exports, stevedoring, dry bulk commodity handling, and port operations. (Preferably in cement, coal & iron ore)
- Excellent command of English language
- General knowledge of commercial procedures, international trading, international banking, Inco-terms, ICC 500 and dry bulk cargo shipping and logistics
- Motivated professional, team-player, excellent communicator
- Proven track record of being dynamic, goal oriented, highly flexible and hardworking
- Willingness to work in multi-cultural trading environment with non-biased business mind
- Strong customer focus (internal and external)
- Willingness for extensive domestic & overseas travel, in visiting ports, loading/unloading operations, servicing local suppliers and customers
- A hardworking team player with corporate professionalism and ambition with the ability and enthusiasm to work long and flexible hours
- Experience in office administration is a plus
