Job description / Role
Our client, an independent legal house governing civil and commercial disputes throughout the UAE, is searching for an experienced Director for its new venture, an arm of their business which focuses on Education and Non-profit legal programs. This person will be a representative at the forefront of the legal system in Dubai, and will need to be extremely passionate about all manners of legal education, locally and internationally.
Key responsibilities:
- Take charge of the educational strategy for all legal programs, and market the company's training academy through active networking and business development, formal presentations, and a presence at press conferences and media interviews.
- Actively involved in creating a business plan and outlining budgets for the launch of the new academy
- Manage all ancillary functions for the company, including their non-profit programmes, training courses and code of conduct entities.
- Actively maintain a database of contacts, building relationships nationally and internationally with stakeholders and clients.
- Take charge of legal events, particularly the annual event benefiting the non-profit program.
- Manage a team of staff, and recruit and train any new hires required with a focus on good customer service skills
Requirements
- 5-10 years experience ideally with a legal and/or education background would be ideal
- UAE experience essential to understand local laws and possess a business network
- Some experience within sales, business development and marketing is key
- Excellent communication skills in English are needed, in Arabic would be a plus (Emirati applicants are encouraged)
- Bachelor's degree within Law/Education is preferable, a Masters degree would be advantageous
