Employment: Full Time

Our client is one of the influencing agencies in Bahrain currently looking to recruit a Digital Marketing Officer to work with Global Marketing Director to develop the digital strategy ensure it is implemented according to the timelines set. Manage the websites and micro-sites, monitor budgets & manage SEM and SEO plans together with the incumbent agency.

Duties and Responsibilities (Main Activities):
- Implementation of the digital marketing plan which includes regular monitoring and updating of the companys websites and micro-sites ensuring functionality and the use of the latest data;
- Ensure that website content is regularly updated and that pertinent information is updated regularly in addition to ensuring that messages are in line with printed marketing materials;
- With the assistance of the website agency and advertising agency, develop and regularly update strategic improvements in software, structure and other technical requirements to ensure that the websites are always functional and accessible;
- Maximize website exposure through management of (paid) search engine marketing, (unpaid) search engine optimization and website linkage/syndication with public sector agencies and private sector companies;
- Find/create IT solutions for daily obstacles in coordination with the companys IT department and the website agency;
- Support the management team in the preparation of digital marketing requirements such as presentations, flash animations, digital invitations and images required for internal and external requirements;
- Manage the Education Project website and Community Portal (if project is relaunched);
- Regularly audit websites to ensure that all aspects of the sites are running optimally and suggest improvements/enhancements to the existing website design and actively contribute to the digital strategy;
- Regularly explore ways to improve website content, metadata, functionalities and design with the web agency to ensure best search-engine optimization as well as how to enhance the brand;
- Conduct regular audits of existing online syndication opportunities to ensure seamless functionality and accuracy of information;
- Maintenance of English & Arabic websites and foreign language micro-sites in terms of content population, editing and ensuring that the sites reflect the most up-to-date information at all times;
- Liaise with MOFA to enhance/develop all Bahrain embassy websites and to provide them with feedback on user- friendliness and supplying of relevant content;
- Upload digital material and press releases onto website in a timely manner;
- Monitor and police country brand and companys brand usage to prevent incorrect usage;
- Contribute to building the Global Marketing image library through free images secured from the companys partners and external stakeholders and to identify and flag gaps in image requirements;
- Oversee the compilation and maintenance of a full chronological catalogue of digital achievements for 2010 onwards which includes printed and filed screenshots of all website updates, digital invitations and collateral produced with item descriptions and dates achieved/completed;
- Assist with the dispensing marketing collaterals to the company staff, following and maintain a clear system as well as checking returned items;
- Ensure efficient and timely handling of internal and external marketing collateral requests (publications, stands, stationery, gifts etc) including arranging wrapping of gifts when required;
- Handling day to day contacts with service providers, design agencies, printers and suppliers abroad;
- Regular follow ups on payments and ensuring that bills are settled on time;
- Undertake special assignments / any tasks as may be required and directed by the Executive Director/ Director of the Department from time to time.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in a related discipline i.e. marketing, communications from a reputable university;
- Fluent in English & Arabic (written & spoken);
- Diploma in IT/Web experience is an advantage.
Work Experience Required
- 4-5 years experience in a marketing communications role (in-house or agency);
- Experience in IT/web administration.
