General Manager - Manufacturing (Saudi Arabia)

Our client is the market leader of the manufacture of BOPP and Metalized Films in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region whose total conversion capacity exceeds 70,000t and who distribute products across the GCC, MENA, Asia, Europe and the Americas. This firm are a subsidiary of a renowned Saudi business conglomerate with global operations. Our client now seek to appoint a General Manager Manufacturing to lead and manage the manufacturing activities for the firm from a technical production level.

Reporting to the President and managing a team of 225 staff, the proven performer we seek will be responsible to:

- Manage Production control for the BOPP line, Slitting and Metallizer based on Production Planning in maintaining quality production.
- In charge of formulation development by conducting planned trial runs for new raw materials.
- Prepare and consolidate monthly production reporting.
- Co-ordinate with other departments in stabilizing Quality norms.
- Train Production department manpower.
- Participate in the Food Safety and hygiene activities of the plant.
- Participate in the weekly management meeting and chaired the meeting
- Prepare annual Production Department budget.
- Participate in the QMS and Food Safety Management related activities.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Commerce or comparable experience in the BOPP or flexible packaging industry. A minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience is required for consideration.
- Must be a proven performer in the achievement of deadlines and targets.
- Strong leadership skills, resource planning and technical manufacturing abilities are essential as well as accuracy and attention to detail.
- Candidates who are familiar with the GCC region and have strong contacts will be highly regarded.
- Fluent English language skills (written and verbal) are essential with candidates with Arabic being highly regarded.
