Logistics Manager

Job description / Role

Kentz are currently recruiting a Logistics Manager for our operations in Abu Dhabi:

Responsibilities
- Responsible for training, assigning, monitoring, checking and coordinating the work of the team.
- Creates Project Traffic Plans for assigned projects and develops project specific shipping or material handling procedures.
- Monitors and reports the status of the Project Material Plans and transportation status to the project teams.
- Identifies and recommends possible solutions to resolve delays to the project schedules.
- Interfaces on behalf of Kentz with the client and/or contractors.
- Works with brokers, agents, or forwarders and other specialty carriers as need to support project construction and installation.
- Works with Buyers, Expeditors, Project Managers, and Construction Managers to ensure that materials for assigned projects are transported from suppliers, packed for export, and shipped and delivered on time to the customer or to the various jobsites via airfreight, ocean, and land transport.

Requirements

- Certificate in an Engineering Discipline
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an Logistics role in a construction environment
- Experience on large, complex projects would be an advantage
- Must have prior logistics experience between UAE and Iraq
- Communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels in the organization
