Senior Estimator Fit-out Industry

Job description / Role

Our client, a leading fit-out & interiors firm, is seeking to recruit Estimator to join their commercial team. The companys state-of-art joinery facilities which located in Dubai, the top-notch professionals, financial strength and management commitment make it a leader in the market-place.

Reporting to the Estimation Manager of to the company, the incumbents objectives, as part of the estimation team, are to ensure on-time submission of competitive and right tenders to potential clients.

Accordingly, the job holder shall:
- Participate in tender document evaluation
- Prepare cost estimation
- Participate along other in the estimation team in creative discussions that lead achieving the objectives of the tender
- Work closely on the pre-tender documents and participate the clients meeting / site visits as needed.
- Actively participate / communicate post-tender discussion s with other departments in the company in order to ensure all relevant estimation data are provided in the right format to be used as a resource / tool by the Operation Engineering Team.
- Review / analyze large tenders documents in order to ensure that his own work is successfully delivered
- Contribute / work closely with the rest of the team in order to fulfill the requirements related to various joinery / fit-out details.
- Ensure tenders submission within the given time frame / as per schedule
- Work closely with the estimation manager in order to develop Estimating models, tools and best practice applications.

Requirements

- Have bachelor in Civil, Mechanical, Architectural engineering.
- Have at least 8 years of work experience in estimation for tenders within fit-out / joinery industry
- Have good knowledge about factory / joinery process
- Have the ability to conduct the right communication between the factory and the project team / requirements.
- Demonstrate ability to understand & review projects requirements and produce related estimation models accordingly.
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding in regard to specifications, design, clients requirements, performance standards, technical studies and cost estimates.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in pre-tender / post-tender procedures, requirements, documentations and time-frame all in full compliance with the specification, Standards and contracts.
- Demonstrate commercial & market knowledge related to joinery business and related items
- Demonstrate hands-on experience in costing, estimation, specifications, tender documentations and standards,
- Possess strong analytical & mathematical skills
- Be a very well organized and task oriented.
- Demonstrate team-player who is task-oriented.
- Possess excellent communication skill both written and verbal
