Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Oracle ERP Application Developer is responsible for the maintenance of Oracle E-Business applications. Designs, develops, and maintains Oracle E-Business functionality through the use of Oracle E-Business development tools and methodology.

He will develop data migration and integrations processes to legacy systems using identified development tools and technologies. Will also engage and manage development contracts.
- Ensure the successful installation of large and / or complex systems by undertaking assigned project / quality assurance work, developing programs, testing and installation in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the design and development of automated systems either independently or by assisting a supervisor.
- Participates in every aspect of the development and implementation, working with business analysts to ensure full understanding of the change implications to current business processes.
- Designs and builds product deliverables according to specifications, escalates technical design or specification issues to business analyst/project manager and application development head, and works within a given time frame to complete coding.
- Ensure proper use of systems by the users by reviewing their usage, resolving errors faced and by training and familiarizing users.
- Contribute to the availability of computer systems by investigating and solving system errors.
- Ensure up to date user and system documentation by updating program specs, preparing and testing release instructions and by assisting in the preparation of user manuals.
- Implement audit recommendations and ensure that operations are performed in line with the bank standards.
- Contributes to the banks profitability by negotiating best prices from suppliers and proposing use of technical advances to reduce cost / generate profit.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager

Requirements

- Professional qualification in Computer Science.
- Possess a thorough understanding of ERP products from both a functional and technical perspective for Oracle E-Business suite R12 modules; Oracle Financials and Oracle FAH, Oracle Purchasing, Oracle inventory Oracle iProcurement and Procurement Contract and Oracle HRMS.
- Has a comprehensive understanding of the implementation methodologies for the technology being utilized in product development
- Follows good development practices and software development life cycle methodologies throughout software development such as SDLC, Agile
- Ability to work with and enhance complex, highly integrated enterprise applications.
- Ability to develop technical solutions to business requirements in a complex applications environment
- Very specific knowledge of Core Banking System and its integration with Oracle FAH.
- Attendance of a general management, people management and change management courses.
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
- Managerial skills to lead & control a sizable team of staff.
- Good communication and inter-personal skills.
