Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

I have a unique opportunity with one of the Top 10 largest Global Project Management Firms to be their new Country Director of India.

This is a perfect role for somebody to make the step up from a Project or Operational Management position, somebody with a real determination to succeed and a wish to progress and develop within a more commercial role.

Responsibilities:
* Enhance the operational procedures and systems for the country
* Meet the Client's Executives monthly for each running project to present and discuss the monthly report, any critical issues and seek feedback on the teams performance
* Work closely and give direction/feedback to the project managers and/or project directors on various operational and commercial matters.
* Monitor and follow-up on timely staff recruitment for vacant positions
* Ensure that a Project Execution Plan customised to each specific project is developed, reviewed and issued to the Client on time
* Approve purchase requisitions in line with company policies.
* Commercial: Prepare/update budgets and backlog reports, monitor financial performance, particularly overheads and staff application against budget
* Business Development Proposals: initiate, oversee and assist in the preparation of technical and financial proposals.
* Business Development Activities: Oversee the team, attend major presentations to potential clients, represent the business in professional conferences, supporting the global marketing efforts, review monthly marketing and reports
* Verify pipeline report updates and undertake any other activities that promotes and creates positive awareness about the firm.
* Help identify sub-consultants and JV partners.
* Administer the agreements signed with the various clients and maintain an approved staffing plan by the clients at all times.
* Coordinate with regional HR, IT, Finance, Recruitment, Legal and Business Development Departments, and attend management meetings as may be required or called for.
* Travel to oversee other offices or project offices that may be opened by Hill in support of growing its operations in India.

Requirements

Qualifications:

* A degree in an Engineering or Business related discipline is required
* Post Graduate education such as a MSC or PHD is highly desired
* A chartered certification such as PMP is expected
* Significant experience of managing Multi- Million Dollar projects
* Ability to think ahead, identify new opportunities and create new and innovative approaches to work related issues
* Strong Management and communication
* Excellent numerical and communication skills
