Job description / Role

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

This role is responsible to lead all type of data analytical activity for key customers with the support of the merchandising. The role is focused on supporting the clients on business making decision with the aid of data science. Key task includes social media analytics to understand consumer behaviour thus supporting the assortment process.

Key Responsibilities:
• Produce product recommendation algorithms using the technique of Article scoring.
• Create Overlap filtering and clustering algorithm on product to help in SKU optimisation analytics.
• Experience in constructing software systems & Algorithms used to predict/explain consumer behaviour.
• Using machine learning, data mining to help design and implement algorithms to analyse and model big data sets..
• Ability to work with huge sets of data and optimize performance for the algorithms in terms of memory as well as execution time.
• Using Stats, Predictive modelling data analysis/trend analysis for collection, exploration and identification of the right data for analysis from both external and internal source.
• Ability to identify key attributes to be used from vast number of variables finding patterns and relations ship data.
• Drive the definition and regular analysis of competitor activity through data model in the market for the customer.
• Create data model for dynamic pricing.

Requirements

• University Degree in Data Science
• Data Scientist Experience: 3-5 years
• Management Experience: 2 - 3 years

Skills and Abilities:
• Advanced skills in data mining software’s
• Fluent in English
• Additional language is an advantage
• Strong analytical/decision making skills
• Structured, organised and process orientated
• Attention to detail as error in analysis will have crucial impact to business
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and under pressure
