Job description / Role
An international oil and gas operator is actively searching for a Power Plant Operation Supervisor for their production department in Iraq. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a highly successful global company who are committed to performance and delivery working on an even rotation basis.
This particular role will require the selected applicant to lead activities relation to cost effective, safe and efficient operation of the power plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Insure operation of the power plant including gas turbines
- Carry out safe operation of rotating equipment
- Responsible for start-up, running and shutdown of station equipment
- Responsible for creating new procedures in relation to plant operation
- Advise maintenance team on maintenance requirements
- Responsible for synchronising electric grids between 2 processing facilities
In return you will rewarded with a highly attractive salary package in the region of $100000USD per annum plus additional benefits. The position would be on a 28/28 rotation.

Requirements
- Relevant educational background – Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in operation of power plant and gas turbine in oil and gas industry
- Excellent communication skills in English is MUST
