Employment: Full Time

Title:
Electrician

This role requires UK SC Clearance, to be eligible for this role you must either already obtain this level of clearance or have a 5 year footprint of living and working in the UK.

Project - OSCC

Location - Erbil International Airport

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Working with and mentoring of Company selected sub-contractor on all elements of electrical installation.
- Responsible for carrying out and completing electrical inspection works.
- Inspection, installation, fault finding and repair of electrical installations and Fire Alarm systems.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Works Act and the KBR Zero Harm HSE policies.
- Capable of working unsupervised operating within a project management structure.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with site safe systems of work.
- Filling out electrical installation reports, logbooks, quality assurance inspections and all paperwork relating to associated electrical tasks such as risk assessments and method statements.

Requirements

Qualifications :

Essential:
- Must have completed recognised apprenticeship within an electrical discipline.
- Previous Electrical experience required
- Familiar with Low Voltage electrical systems; 50 hz of various voltages
- Must be fully able to fully converse in the English language. (IELTS Level 4)
- Capable of working with limited supervision
- Must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of UK health or safety legislation and an ability to carry out risk assessments and propose actions for risk control/management.
- Be capable of passing medical/security checks to hold a UK MoD Contractors ID card

Desirable:
- Experience and knowledge of City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and testing
- Experience and knowledge of UK Electrical Regulations 18th Edition BS 7671
- Experience of working on operations in austere remote sites or in developing nations
