Job description / Role
Wood is currently recruiting for an Instrument Technician (Iraqi local nationals only) this position, and work pattern is 8 days ON , 6 Days OFF, we can only consider applications from local Iraqi nationals residing in Basra and surrounding areas
The Instrument Technician role is to deliver a high quality, consistent and competent service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures to support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. In addition, to ensure all work scope is completed in a safe manner with no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment. Proven competency in commissioning oil field instrumentation and automation systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with the site cardinal safety rules and with all safety aspects in the execution of work.
- Complete field level risk assessments.
- Safely perform the following.
- Use of calibration and testing instruments to inspect, test and perform troubleshooting and diagnose faults.
- Communicate design discrepancies and design issues.
- Adhere to standards of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) and comply with the Clients Company Health, Safety & Environment Management (HSEM) System requirements; takes reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
- Follows and maintains Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical Diploma/ 10 years of Experience,
- Literate in the use of standard computer software programs. Word, Excel, etc
- English Communication skills / Team player/ Time-Management / Adaptability / Willingness to learn.
- Understanding of Oil & Gas Process Operations, HSE practices and application in the field.
