Quantity Surveyor Iraq (rotation 28/28)

We are currently recruiting for Quantity surveyors positions to work on Oil and Gas project in Basra Iraq These positions will be on a rotational basis 28/28.   

The definition of Professional Quantity Surveyor (“PQS”) shall mean a suitably qualified experienced and technically proficient person BSC Degree in Quantity Surveying chartered professional membership with international professional organizations (RICS/CIQS etc.) employed by the Contractor to carry out the prescribed task or tasks.

Company reserves the right to approve such persons as proposed by the Contractor. 

Requirements

The QS services scopes shall include the following:

Pre-Contracts Award:
- Provide inputs to projects ITT document emphasize on pricing documents and remuneration/schedule of rates.
- Drafting the associated pricing preambles / schedule of rates.
- Provide support with the evaluation of tendered proposals.
- Feedback on the awarded contract and pricing to cost estimator for database capture.
- Verify BoQ Vs Approved drawings  from various contractors.

Post-Contract Award:
- Establish procedures to measure and record measurements progress productivity etc.
- Man-hour plant and materials recording or verification.
- Witnessing / agreeing and/or auditing work measurement by contractors (VOWD EVM).Validation of field changes to quantities.
- Validation and agreement of contractors’ valuations.
- Verify and agreement of new quantities and Star rates.
- Monitor track approved Site Instructions (Agreement of quantity related changes generated from Site Instructions and subsequent agreement of cost).
- Assisting in validation of measurement for Variations.
- Ensure that the as-built cost is captured in a standard format and feedback to cost estimating & database.
- Provide input for close-out contracts (final quantity agreement) etc.       
- General Establish QS Procedures – Contribute in development of QS procedures to suit the project scope.
- Provide Focal point representative  to coordinate with Company and oversee onsite QS performance and delivery by making use of accumulated sector knowledge and service excellence capability and to provide back office support to enhance their QS performance and delivery.
