Resident Engineer - Bridges

Job Summary:
The Bridges Resident Engineer will be responsible for overseeing design review and construction aspects of bridge projects. This includes managing site operations, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in bridge construction/reconstruction/rehabilitation projects and a strong understanding of international engineering standards.

Responsibilities:
• Review bridge designs and ensure compliance with engineering standards and codes.
• Manage site operations, including coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Monitor and verify that the contractor fulfills their duties and responsibilities as per the contract.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure project progress and quality control.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project performance and contract compliance.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, such as government authorities, contractors, and designers.
• Resolve technical issues and provide guidance to the project team.
• Ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients.

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years as a resident engineer or equivalent capacity on bridge construction/reconstruction/rehabilitation projects.
• Experience working for a minimum of five (5) years in regions or countries with comparable conditions.
• Excellent knowledge of construction supervision services, techniques, and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of international engineering standards and codes.
• Solid knowledge of local rules and regulations pertaining to bridge construction.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and coordinate complex construction projects.
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively manage a diverse team.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work under tight deadlines.

• Proficient in Arabic and English
