Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The supply chain Manager is responsible for directing, managing and coordinating logistics, warehouse, and distribution activities. Leading and directing strategic planning for logistics and warehousing.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Creates policies or procedures for Supply chain management.
- Direct inbound or outbound supply chain operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
- Analyzes the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes, mixes, or carriers.
- Establishes key performance indicators, monitor ongoing performance, and improve performance against set goals.
- Monitors the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
- Analyzes data to monitor performance and plan improvements and cost reductions.
- Manages the exemption and releases of shipments.
- Maintains health and safety standards
- Identify all areas of improvement and maximize productivity
- Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
- Develops and implements procurement and contract management instructions, policies and procedures.
- Manages, plans, coordinates and implements the departments’ procurement functions.
- Keeps the departments’ records updated with the needed reports, budgeting and forecasting.
- Updates and develops the vendors list continuously.
- Maintains records of ordered and received goods.
- Prequalifying vendors and researching for new suppliers.
- Resolves complaints and claims against suppliers.
- Follows up with suppliers concerning delivery times and payment terms.
- Prepares, processing requisitions and purchase orders for services, supplies and equipment.
- Follows up on market trends and analyzes market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
- Checks, prepares and advises any legal conditions of the contracts.
- Annalise quotations and bids, prepares the comparative statements (quotation charts analysis).
- Manages the department’s budgets.

Requirements

- Master’s Degree in business or logistics management
- 3-5 years of managerial experience in warehouse management
- strategies and processes of logistics
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, with prior experience in Warehouse, Logistics, and accurate Inventory Management
