Employment: Full Time

Wood is excited to offer a Civil Designer Traineeship based in our Al Majal office in Basra, Iraq

Over the course of 12 months, you will combine practical experience working full time on some of Iraq's largest Oil & Gas engineering projects, while you complete a structured training program - leading to a recognized qualification.

Working as part of a supportive close-knit team, you will be guided and mentored on your journey by Wood's Designers and Engineers, as you learn to:

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpret and produce engineering design drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD) from sketches and other data.
- Review existing drawings.
- Learn to share ideas and contribute to innovative solutions to meet the project objectives.
- Support the development and improvement of HS&E procedures, initiatives, and programs.
- Gain varied understanding of your core discipline through hands on experience.
- Gain increased awareness of strengths and areas of development to support professional and personal growth.
- Develop expertise in your field of study, within a fast-paced and complex project environment.
- Work with world-class industry experts

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
- Holds a Diploma in an Engineering Discipline - Mechanical, Civil / Structural, Electrical or Instrumentation
- Possess a range of skills and talents and be willing to experiment in areas outside your comfort zone.
- Punctual, reliable, hard-working, courteous with a curious mind and a desire to learn.
