Job description / Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Supervisor to join our construction team in Ireland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines. The Electrical Construction Supervisor will play a crucial role in managing and directing the electrical construction team to ensure successful project completion.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage electrical construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budget
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and schedule construction activities
- Supervise and lead the electrical construction team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment for all construction personnel
- Monitor and inspect electrical work to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications
- Manage procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and supplies as per project requirements
- Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to coordinate electrical installation and commissioning activities
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, and as-built drawings
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process, and escalate as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and relevant regulations and standards
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse construction team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact effectively with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environment
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools for project scheduling, documentation, and reporting
- Relevant electrical qualifications or certifications, such as an Electrical Engineering degree or similar
