Atkins has been established in the Gulf for over 40 years, having first carried out design and supervision commissions in the Gulf area in 1967. The regional head office (Dubai) was established in 1979.

We provide a full range of design, engineering and project management services for buildings, transportation and other infrastructure programmes.

Atkins in the Middle East now employs around 2,000 staff serving Gulf clients across all market sectors from offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait City, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, and Sharjah.

Atkins in supporting their Contracting Partners intend to provide multi-disciplinary detailed design and construction support for roads, road tunnels, pedestrian underpasses, bridges, car parks, public realm, pedestrian boulevard with underground carparks and two metro station boxes.

We are currently looking for an experienced CAD/BIM Manager with a minimum of 10 years experience to join our team in Jeddah, KSA.

Responsibilities
- To develop, implement and enforce CAD/BIM processes and standards for KAAR project to produce quality documentation and deliverables
- To develop and maintain the KAAR Project BIM Execution Plan
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with the Clients CAD/BIM management
- Coordinate and communicate with CAD/BIM Managers across the project delivery team and chair CAD/BIM management workshops
- To provide guidance and assistance to design centers to ensure they are setup and progressed optimally, and teams are using CAD/BIM tools appropriately
- To develop and maintain CAD/BIM project template and content libraries through creation of blocks/families, etc. including auditing
- To develop structured CAD/BIM models for all project disciplines and ensure interoperability between model products
- To establish and configure quality control checks/tools ensuring adherence to project CAD/BIM standards
- To implement BIM training modules for key staff and maintain training courseware
- To ensure that the implementation of CAD/BIM tools aligns with Atkins CAD-BIM strategy and links appropriately with the wider business
- Develop procedures to facilitate sharing of content, knowledge and best practice throughout the Atkins organisation

Principle Activities
- Managing a multi functional design team responsible for delivering a large number of varied infrastructure projects in accordance with the clients requirements.
- Managing key stakeholder interfaces which will include all departments within the client organisation as well as other government departments.
- Establish project controls and reporting and ensure timely delivery of projects to time, cost and quality.
- Progress reporting and monitoring in line with contract KPIs

Requirements

- Demonstrate expertise in preparation of CAD/BIM models and construction documents using Bentley design tools/Autodesk Civil 3D, etc.
- Expertise using Revit Architecture, Revit Structure or Revit MEP would be advantageous.
- Understand the Clash detection and coordination of all services in Navisworks
- Content creation: Parametric contented using formulae, nesting and type catalogs
- Integration of products with other applications (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, eSPEC, Quantity Takeoff, etc.)
- CAD/BIM and associated software skills to automate routines to support standards and improve productivity
- BIM experience with 3D rendering and visualisation, BOQ & cost estimation, analysis and simulations, and specification linking etc.
- Must have computer experience in Microsoft Windows networked environments, and good working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, email, Web-enabled applications and database software
- Experience using Bentley ProjectWise EDMS system would be advantageous
