Head of Retail Operations

Job description / Role

The company we are recruiting for is a leading sports retailer in Saudi Arabia with over 40 stores in the region.

For the role of Head of Retail Operations we require candidates that have experience in the following:
- Coordinate, oversee and deliver an annual operating plan
- Achieve sales growth and budgeted growth through developing winning strategies and people development
- Asses the business and develop store business plans that support corporate retail initiatives, and track the results
- Manage the measurement and analysis of internal processes to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of those processes
- Ensure operational activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general care of duty
- Develop the functional, methodological, interpersonal and personal skills of area managers and Store Managers, with measurable goals that tie into the overall retail plan
- Lead and develop customer focused teams that represent the ideals of Delta Marketing stores-Retail, with a focus on exceeding customer expectations
- Build effective partnerships with support departments to maximize overall performance of Retail division
- Ensure direct reporting line is fully informed of operational objectives, purposes and achievements
- Measure progress on stores' KPIs
- Monitor all reports
- Compare results to stores' budget
- Collate and review economic factors
- Review and control stores' shrinkage levels
- Review and respond accordingly to mystery shopper results
- Monitor and drive store business plans

Requirements

- Arabic Speaking is a must
- 5 years retail operations experience minimum
- Industry experience in apparel, fashion or shoes desired.
- Leadership: > 5 years experience
- Desirable to have worked in the sports market previously
- Bachelors Degree
