Project Director - Aviation

Job description / Role

We are looking for a Project Director for Aviation to lead others and direct all phases of assigned cross-organisational programs or projects in Saudi Arabia as well as develop integrated program plans and program-level deliverables, direct all program phases and act as the primary customer contact.

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in or develop mechanisms for establishing, monitoring and integrating all program elements, product configurations and communications concerning change management processes and decisions.
- Coordinate the operational aspects of on-going projects within the program and serve as liaison between program and project teams or project managers, finance, planning, scheduling and line management.
- Use trend, earned value and variance analyses, other performance measures and risk assessments to develop plans or to recommend change.
- Negotiate program and project changes and incorporates changes into program and project control systems to maintain work statements, cost and schedule baselines.
- Transition projects and programs to customer for on-going support.
- Participate in and may perform project close-out and documents lessons learned for each project that is a part of the program.

Requirements

- Degree in a related field of study and 15 or more years' Project/Program Management experience an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience successfully managing implementation programs and delivering solutions to external aviation customers.
- Served as prime consultant and external spokesperson for an organisation on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives.
- Fluency in English is essential with excellent written English language skills.
- Strong relationship management skills and personally confident to effectively address and influence stakeholders.
