Operation Director - Electro-Mechanical Industry - Jordan

The Operation Director report directly into the CEO and will hold responsible for the full operation, supply chain and will be responsible for managing all operational aspects of the business.

The primary objective is to lead and manage all Conversion within the Plant according to continues improvement culture in order to achieve required production volume defined, in compliance with quality standards and in accordance with the KPIs set, fulfilling safety norms and satisfying internal customers' needs. You will control all supply chain related activities including purchasing, planning, logistics and inventory. All operational factory operations including production, maintenance, quality, HSE and projects will also come under your control.

The Operation Director will control 3 factories with 7 Managers reporting into him (the 3 Factory Managers, QC Manager, Maintenance Manager, Planning Manager, and Supply Chain Manager). This is a senior position responsible for the performance, efficiency, growth and profitability of the whole operation of this business

Our client is a key manufacturer company specializing in electro-mechanical manufacturing in Jordan.

Responsibilities will include:
* Contributing to the development of company strategy in order to ensure alignment of the factory with companies' business plans
* Making strategic decisions which reflect a thorough understanding of the longer term business needs and objectives
* Monitor Factories Managers' actions, Maintenance and QC activities
* Analyze factories performance and ensure the most cost-effective manufacturing of planned production
* Conduct meetings with top management to develop products and products portfolio
* Plans and supports talent management and succession planning within his function to ensure replacement of any managers is done smoothly and ensures all senior managers have a career plan.

Requirements

* Must have a B.Sc. in Engineering
* Experience of white goods, electro-mechanical or electronics related manufacturing environments is essential for this role
* More than 10 years of experience and more than 5 years of experience in a senior management position managing manufacturing operations (Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain)
* Good Knowledge of plant organization model structure and effective use of assets, TPM/Lean/CI background is an advantage
* Authority and responsibility to control operation department budget
* Experience of managing total function and team of manufacturing business
* Strong people management skills, communication skills
* Business acumen, good planning and project management skills
* Excellent knowledge of English language, Arabic would be a plus but not necessary
