Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

An opportunity has arisen for a Real Estate Developer the purpose of the role is to manage pre-qualification and registration of supplier’s logistics; warehouse operations; and the execution of supply purchases for all business units according to the companies Policy and Procedures. Develop strategic relationships with suppliers.

Duties:
- Responsible for finding reliable, quality suppliers/ shipping agents that will meet the Company’s specifications and requirement in order to provide competitive pricing and commitment for delivery requirements
- Verify purchasing requirements
- Investigate relevant supply market opportunities
- Drive purchasing process from the pre-bidding activities through approvals and execution
- Represent company in evaluation of proposals and bids
- Communicate with departments to explain company procurement procedures, lead times, etc…
- Evaluate vendors annually to ensure quality products
- Manage movement of Shipments (sea, air, or road freight) into the country by choosing the best transportation options to reduce the cost and increase the profitability
- Plan and implement import strategy and activities consistent with overall requirements of the company
- Maintain and develop a good relation with import related authorities, liners, carriers to insure efficient positive and lawful relations, support and activities
- Comply with document requirements, shipping procedures and import requirements for smooth flow of goods
- Liaise with departments to provide the best possible logistical solutions during the project
- Review and negotiate all transportation contracts, materials prices and list of Suppliers to ensure Company obtained the maximum discount and service required
- Implement Procurement Plan for all department purchases
- Coordinates with departments to identify needs to economize ordered quantities, reduce ordering and inventory costs
- Manage the negotiation of complex agreements with suppliers
- Conduct negotiations to obtain optimum savings
- Monitor the suppliers performance and manage the vendor performance assessment process
- Monitor and supervise the pre-qualification and registration process

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in engineering, business, or supply management; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of purchasing management in relevant industry
- Admin and financial analysis in major project environment

Job-Specific Skills:
- Negotiation skills, Arabic & English Language skills
- Ability to deal effectively with subcontractors and suppliers
- Multi-cultural workforce management experience, ideally from a consultancy & real estate developer industry background
- Solid understanding of contractual law, contract formation and tendering process
- Strong understanding of the tendering process, logistics and materials management
