Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.

Enterprise Workplace Technology (ET) - ET supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. ET will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.

Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.

The opportunity

The consulting Manager - Security Architecture (Cloud) will play a crucial role in setting the strategy and direction for security technology. The security domains in scope include endpoint protection, data protection, network security, vulnerability management, cloud security, and cyber security controls.

A wide scope of information security knowledge is necessary with an understanding of not just the technology, but how security solutions fit and should be adopted by a global firm such as EY. Being able to articulate a business case as well as being able to present information to senior executives on the functional capabilities and implications of any security technology is required.

The role will lead the security domain architecture team in the creation and enablement of security strategy for the firm and aligns to the direction of the Global Lead of Security Technology Services. The role will support ideation to implementation ensuring technologies are delivered aligned to strategic direction. The successful leader will be an evangelist able to educate and inspire direct reports, senior leaders, and colleagues. The role will be based in our Jordan Resource Hub in Amman but will require extensive client and project related travel to our GCC and other MENA office locations (at least 50-80%).

Your key responsibilities

This is a Manager position for the Security Architecture (Cloud) function supporting services lines and IT. Key responsibilities of this position include: Leading, driving and managing a team of security professionals focused on creating and providing consulting throughout the technology life-cycle, thought leadership development, aligning information security to business requirements, and interacting and shaping messages for executive leadership.

Skills and attributes for success

The position requires knowledge and skills in the following areas:

- Excellent management and leadership skills working with highly skilled and motivated senior architects.
- Managing and facilitating multiple team inputs arriving at the appropriate decision to design, deploy and manage security solutions.
- Drive and oversees strategy development and technology research
- Engage and provide guidance to technology selection, proof of concept, and implementation of global information security technology.
- Develops the security strategy and collaborates on roadmaps for six security services Application Protection, Data Protection, Email Protection, Network Protection, Security Management, Server & User Device Protection.
- Manages new technology vendor request for information (RFI) process.
- Leads conversations with key stakeholders across the firm.
- Proactively works with Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure security components are appropriately integrated into the firm's overall Enterprise Architecture and any gaps are addressed.
- Provides technical risk mitigation input to the firm's information security policies and program.
- Builds and maintains appropriate relationships with internal and external parties to ensure awareness and understanding of potential or impending threats; takes appropriate action to counter through technology and architecture solutions.
- A high proficiency in technical and general writing skills in English is required.
- Attention to detail and quality of deliverables.
- The ability to present and collaborate with senior leaders, engineers, operations and services team.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education:

- Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science or Information Systems or related field is required.

Experience:

- 8-12+ years in the information security field and 4-6+ years managing small to mid-sized teams is required.

Certification Requirements:

- CISSP is required or plan to acquire.

Ideally, you'll also have

- Additional Information Security-related certifications are desired, but not required (e.g., CISM, SANS GIAC, etc.).
