Senior Patent Translator

Job description / Role

- Processing all matters requiring translation of patent related documents;
- Translating patent applications in the field of life sciences (chemistry, pharmacy, etc) from English-Arabic and vice versa;
- Translating notifications and correspondences from/to patent offices related to patent matters;
- Reviewing translations conducted by others, particularly related to patent applications in the field of life sciences;

Requirements

- Background: life sciences (preferably chemical engineering or pharmacy)
- Experience: 7 years +
- Preferably experienced in managing a team of translators/reviewers
- Excellent written and verbal communication and drafting skills both in Arabic and English
- Trustworthy, reliable, accurate, precise and detail oriented;
- Ability to meet deadlines;
- Able to work with a minimum supervision;
- Skilled in using computer tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Paint, Photoshop, etc.
