Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Directs, coordinates, and actively participates in engineering activities for the project or assigned portion, including supervision of engineers of all disciplines.

Establishes or assists in establishing the detailed project scope work plans and the development of the overall project engineering budgets. Develops design and procurement schedules for approval. Coordinates engineering effort with project manager.

Directs engineering activities in preparation of project proposals, including estimates for engineering staffing, quantities, scope reviews and schedules. Prepares, reviews, and approves design documents, change orders, material requisitions and specification for construction or procurement use.

Supervises the preparation of reviews and endorses bid analyses and recommendations for procurement of equipment, material and services within engineering's scope of responsibility. Resolves field initiated questions on engineering. Visits job site as required for exchange of information.

Coordinates activities among the design groups on the project. Initiates requests for specialized professional services. Initiates correspondence related to the engineering portion of the contract. Prepares or directs the preparation of project studies, reports, forecasts, special engineering reports and plant data book.

Reviews project engineering progress against approved schedules, evaluates changes and takes corrective action when required. Manages the flow of information required from third parties to assure the timely progress of the engineering work.

Requirements

Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience with the disciplines of urban planning, engineering, design and construction services with demonstrated training in the application of Quality Control and Quality Assurance systems and procedures.

A graduate in Urban planning or engineering from an accredited institution.

Capability to provide the personnel Management, organization, and technical leadership necessary to accomplish the QA/QC requirement of the contract.

Minimum (10) years work experience in a western country.

Must be fluent in written & spoken English.

Note: Candidates located in Saudi Arabia and having transferable Iqama will be given priority.
