Employment: Full Time

Our esteemed client is a market leading provider of banking software systems to retail, corporate, universal, private, Islamic, micro-finance and community banks, wealth managers, and financial institutions.
Their software is proven in over 1,600 customer deployments in more than 150 countries across the world.

They require A Business Consultant (Architecture Arrangement Resource) is responsible for providing functional application and banking support in one or more banking areas (Retail, Trade Finance, Treasury, Credits, Accounting, etc.) throughout all functional stages of the Clients products implementation projects. The Business Consultant focuses on solving basic functional problems, but is exposed to more complex problems, and works under supervision of more senior consultant/manager.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Master the basic job duties and is gaining exposure to more complex functional problems. Is still occasionally directed in several aspects of the work; however more straightforward tasks are accomplished without assistance. Has acquired general proficiency in the tools, systems and procedures required to accomplish the job.
* Analyze client business/functional requirements and relate them to the Clients products capability.
* Identify any gaps together with proposals for their resolution (e.g. workarounds or changes in processes) and ensure any solutions proposed are realistic and within the agreed scope of the project.
* Define customization needs for the Clients products as per agreed business definitions.
* Write specifications, if and when needed, for local development and ensure that Technical Consultants have a clear understanding of these specifications.
* Participate in the configuration of T24/TCB through the definition of static and semi-static data for system installation.
* Participate in functional testing to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
* Liaise with the Clients maintenance groups to ensure that the product problems identified are understood and resolved.
* Participate to the review of client organization, processes and workflows and contribute to the proposal of a ‘post-picture’ to maximize the benefit from the Clients products.
* Make recommendations on best banking practices and alert the project manager/supervisor on practices that might damage the client’s business or contradict legal requirements, before recognition as a problem by the client.
* Perform such other duties, functions and services, consistent with status or vocational ability, as may from time to time be required.

Requirements

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Client’s certifications: Minimum one banking domain.

The Principal Business Consultant is required to pass the client’s certification within a limited time-frame (to be agreed with manager) in minimum one banking domain.

A certification is considered valid as long as the consultant has:
- Successfully passed the certification examination at the end of the training session
AND
- Successfully implemented the module at client site during the course of significant projects.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational & Proficiency level: Professional with a minimum of three to four years of experience in Finance or in banking software consultancy.
- Technical knowledge: In depth understanding of financial and banking processes, like Credits, Accounting, Treasury, MI, Asset Management, Securities, Trade Finance, Retail. IT oriented: knowledge of a banking software application; excellent knowledge in PowerPoint, Excel as well as other MS Office environment applications.
- Others: This job involves complex activities demanding considerable co-ordination to effectively achieve the jobs end results. Awareness of other jobs in the project team is necessary as the job activities either influence or are influenced by these. Fully understand and be able to deploy the Clients Implementation Methodology.
