Accessories Designer

Are you currently an Accessories Designer looking for your next step? We have an exciting Designer opportunity available for this premium fashion retailer based in Kuwait, within Accessories. The brand has an emphasis on providing its customers with style and quality and is a fantastic brand across the Middle East.

Key responsibilities as an Accessories Designer include:

* Identify trends and competitor analysis to input to Head of Design
* Issuing of sketches, flat drawings and technical sheets which will be sent to their manufacturer
* Identify key seasonal trends and competitor analysis
* Attending regular fit sessions with the Garment Tech team, paying attention to quality control
* Close following up with manufacturers during sampling and sealing process
* Action and approving of lab dips
* Attending regular fit sessions with the Garment Tech team, paying attention to quality control
* Maintaining excellent relationships internally and with external partners
* Issuing of sketches, flat drawings and technical sheets which will be sent to their manufacturer

Requirements

As a Designer, the essential skills will include:

* Experience designing Accessories in fast fashion is essential
* Technical knowledge on garment construction on all categories and finishes
* Pattern cutting knowledge and costing experience is beneficial
* Strong contemporary hand drawing skills and also the capability to work on Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Excel
* Ability to negotiate and manage costings in relation to bulk production is essential

You will grasp the understanding of the brands signature shapes and best sellers and will be a confident communicator dealing directly with Manufacturers, Technical, QC and Buying teams. As the location is TAX FREE, you will benefit from a full salary.
