This requisition is for completing work on a Boeing contract in Kuwait. Management, day-to-day supervision at the workplace and administration of compensation and benefits will be arranged by Boeing Kuwait, Inc., while the contract of employment will be with Worldwide Trust Group (WWTG).

Your key responsibilities will be:

This position is part of the on-site C-17 Field Services Engineering and Technical Support (FETS) team supporting the Kuwait Air Force customer at Al-Mubarak Air Base, Kuwait and will require relocation to Kuwait. Applicants will:
- Apply broad knowledge of Boeing C-17 design and engineering principles to assess and resolve complex operational issues through the aircraft's lifecycle
- Lead & conduct root cause analyses and develop dispositions to address complex nonconforming conditions and to detect deviations
- Apply engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer and design interim and final engineering solutions
- Analyze reported problems for potential safety issues; develop and implement product/process improvements
- Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participate in design and in-service reviews
- Represent the engineering community in the post production environment
- Develop and sustain customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment
- Lead on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation or support team
- Analyze damage repairs or structural modifications to help determine appropriate repair approaches, prevent collateral damage and assure a safe work environment

Requirements

- The applicant must have a strong background in the design, theory of operation, qualification testing, engineering drawings, operational performance, repair and maintenance of C-17 systems.
- Specialist knowledge in one or more of the following is required: airframe structure, hydro-mechanical, electrical, environmental, propulsion, mission, avionics, and communication systems.
- Familiarity with the operation, maintenance and fault diagnosis of aircraft is highly desirable.
- The applicant should have general knowledge of aircraft support equipment, USAF processes, procedures, & protocols and the ability to apply this knowledge to develop action plans.
- Knowledge of C-17 & lessons learned, pending design improvements, support systems, technical orders, and repair philosophy is desirable.
- The applicant will be required to provide similar technical support to all other C-17 aircraft operators and maintainers participating in the C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program.
- Travel to other operating locations to assist with operation, maintenance, and recovery of aircraft may be required.
- This position requires the ability to work independently in a wide variety of cultural/economic settings, under time constraints and stress, in a demanding, on-call, around the clock operational environment.

Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification:
- Bachelor's and 6 or more years' experience, Master's with 4 or more years' experience or PhD with 2 or more years' experience.
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
- ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 4 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification:
- Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience.
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
- ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Employment is subject to the candidate s ability to satisfy all Kuwait labor and immigration formalities.

This job may be level 3 or level 4 and will determined by the level of experience and qualifications of the selected candidate, in relation to the scope and responsibility of the position.
