Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job purpose:
Manage stress testing, model validation and another assessments of the credit portfolio and report on identified risks

GENERIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
- People management Manage, motivate & develop employees and the team in line with ABK people policies & practices.
- Corporate governance and compliance Work fully within risk policies and procedures and all compliance regulations

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Review Pre-fact review of credit proposals generated by the Corporate Banking and International Banking Division/Dubai Branch; review for sanction / renewal / restructuring / in order to mitigate credit risks and to provide an independent risk assessment opinion to the MCC and BCC
- Independent Credit Assessment Conduct independent credit risk assessments on applications either personally or by team members
- Quality Check Conduct quality checks on credit applications either personally or by team members
- Risk Disclosures and MIS: Report to internal and external stakeholders on risk issues
- Industry Review Conduct industry reviews which support the delivery of independent credit risk assessments either personally or by team members
- Operates Within Approved Risk Appetite Ensure all credit applications and portfolio management is within approved risk appetite
- Special Projects Undertake special projects and assignments in the areas of credit; initiate internal controls for improving asset quality and mitigate the risk.
- Committees Provide reports risk expertise and opinion on various risk committees

Requirements

- Bachelor's in Commerce, Finance, Banking, Risk Management or equivalent.
- At least 9 years in Credit Risk Role
- International banking experience
- One or all of credit risk, financial risk, market risk management.

Knowledge:
- One or all of credit risk, financial risk, market risk
- Banking systems, corporate banking and consumer banking.
- Risk assessment tools and methodologies
