Design Officer - eCommerce - The Body Shop - Kuwait

eCommerce is an exciting new support function within Alshaya as the business launches transactional websites for a number of the 70+ brands and 19 countries within the Alshaya portfolio. The function is rapidly building Alshaya's multi-channel capability to deliver customers' choice and convenience when shopping in a number of rapidly growing online emerging markets. The function is split in to 4 key areas - Trading & Merchandising, Operations & Program Management, Design & Content and Digital Marketing.

Working within The Body Shop Online team, you will be part of the user experience and design team to execute interaction and visual design of TBS websites.

Responsibilities will include:
* Executing Interaction and Visual Design as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Converting business and user requirements into Interaction and Visual Design deliverables (user flows, wireframes, visual design mock-ups, concepts)
* Collaborating with brand-specific design teams.

You will need to be able to work to tight timelines, as well as have the initiative to keep up-to-date with trends in interaction and design fields, all while building and maintaining excellent internal and external working relationships throughout.

Requirements

* A degree level education
* Past working experience in graphic and web design
* Strong working knowledge of web design applications for user flows, wireframes and visual design, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Ominigraffle, etc.
* Basic knowledge of web development using HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript/JQuery
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Previous experience working within an eCommerce business support function (or within online shopping/retail) is also an advantage.
