Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Role Statement:
- Manage, direct and control operational Units / Section at Central Operations Back-office functions which including Central Processing, Retail Support, Remittance, Retail Finance Processing and salaries and payments to maintain high standard of operational process and customer service at Business Units.
- Represent the bank for the operation committee meetings at KBA and CBK and co-ordinate with AML/Compliance/Audit and Risk Management to address CBK and Audit issues.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage, direct and control operational work process and ensures the standards and deadlines are met.
- Measures deficiencies/ grievances within all reporting departments and in the operations procedures, participants in group discussions with concerned departments and recommend improvements of procedures/ performance as required to implement the best process for each departments/Units in line with the bank's overall business requirements.
- Review and recommend enhancements/upgrading the users' utilized systems taking into considerations the bank's overall strategic initiatives.
- Prepare Division's Business Plans and balance score card in order to finalize departments KPIs.
- Ensure smooth flow of process/work in the division and review to centralize new operational functions from other departments /divisions to keep free from customer complaints.
- Manage excellent relationship with internal customers within divisions and groups (Including Subsidiaries) and external customers including KCC, KIA and CBK etc.
- Coordiate activities related to CBK, Local Banks Committee and civil service Commission etc in order to facilitate bank's and branches operational support identifying the need for centralization aiming smooth operational environment with sector' standards effectiveness and efficiency.
- Review Audit Observations and recommends appropriate approaches related to these observations in terms of applying operational sector standards.
- Implement the right controls for various Units within the divisions, retail finance processing, communication (SWIFT) etc ensuring that the departmental functions in line with the bank's various activities and initiates.
- Ensures that jobs and functions are properly segregated among staff within the varies departments/Units in order not to compromise Bank's security, and dual control is exercised wherever necessary.
- Manage departments/ Units personnel while securing an internal approach through ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolving problems either from Central Operations, Branches or customers related accounts, systems and operations

Requirements

- College graduate from reputed university, Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in managing back office operations primarily in central operations in large Banking institutions.
- Must have managed a large team with excellent leadership skills.
- Preferred a Bilingual candidate along with excellent computer skills.
