Head of Marketing - Mothercare - Kuwait

Mothercare has grown from its origins in 1960s Britain into a successful global multi-channel retailer operating in over 50 countries. In 1983 M.H. Alshaya launched its first franchise operation with the brand in Kuwait which was also mothercare's first international store. Mothercare Alshaya is today a highly successful, ever growing and complex business, operating over 300 stores across the Middle East, North Africa, Russia & Central Europe, from large parenting centres to small hospital stores and an incorporating an integrated e-commerce solution. As a brand we pride ourselves on our customer service, making our stores parent and child-friendly environments, staffed by people who are passionate about our products and services and who can offer knowledgeable unbiased advice. This is especially important for new parents, unversed in the technicalities of products such as baby-feeding equipment, cotbeds, pushchairs and car seats.

As the Head of Marketing for Mothercare, your primary focus will be on the development and delivery of the Mothercare brand positioning across the Alshaya network focusing on the MENA region and supporting our CEE & Russia markets. Your highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills will assist you in ensuring appropriate market positioning, effective brand development and suitable marketing collateral across each region. This role will see you liaising with and working across the UK host brand, eCommerce teams and Brand teams, across regions.

Your proven ability to build, develop and implement successful strategies and marketing campaigns across the diverse regional areas will provide you with a solid foundation for this role, as will your strong analytical skills and ability to mentor, build and develop highly effective teams.

Additionally, this role will see you focusing on the following;
* Accountability for Brand positioning across the Alshaya network
* Developing strategic planning & research capability to support strategy
* Develop an integrated relationship with our customers across PR, Social media
* Build and developing a commercially, creative and customer centric marketing team.

Requirements

The role works with a team of 9 individuals to develop and deliver our marketing strategy, and reports directly to the VP of Mothercare Alshaya.
