HEAD OF QUANTITY SURVEYING – Middle East - offers an attractive salary package, excellent career opportunities and relocation assistance.
Our client is one of the Middle East’s largest Architecture consultancy firms with a strong regional reputation for constructing and delivering high quality projects in desirable locations.
The company has a range of residential, commercial and retail developments across the region.
JOB OVERVIEW:
• You will be responsible for managing a large team of Quantity Surveyors based across the MENA region, and will have full commercial responsibility for current and future projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pre-Contract
• Overall responsibility for all tender / contract documentation
• Participate in tender openings, tender appraisal
• Appointment of QS consultants
• Appointment of lead consultants and sub consultants
• Appointment of main contractor
• Project budgets and preparation of internal project cost reports
Post Contract
• Contractual liaison with the Project Managers
• Agree final account
• Overall responsibility for Variations and Claims

Requirements
SKILLS
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Chartered Quantity Surveyor + B. Sc in Quantity Surveying (Degree flexible)
• Member and/ or Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
• 20 years of international experience working on mega projects
• Post and Pre Contract large scale, high rise projects experience – essential
• Have between 5- and 10-years’ experience of working for leading international engineering/ architecture or surveying companies
• Possess proficiency in FIDIC and in the International Method of Measurements including POMI and CESSM3
• Consultancy and Contracting experience preferred
• Have 5 years’ experience leading a Q/S team as an Associate, Director or similar
